Next Choice® (levonorgestrel), 0.75 mg, is a new emergency contraceptive from Watson that can help women during these unexpected times.

Next Choice is a generic product that is bioequivalent to the two tablet Plan B® product.

It is available behind the pharmacy counter and sold under a licensed pharmacist's supervision. Women 16 years of age or younger require a prescription.

Prepare for the unexpected

When used as directed, Next Choice reduces pregnancy risk by as much as 89% when taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex. A study demonstrated efficacy was even greater within 24 hours.1,2 So it is important that your customers have access to emergency contraceptives and educational guidance when it is needed:

Important Safety Information

Next Choice® should not be used by women with a known or suspected pregnancy. Women who become pregnant or complain of lower abdominal pain after taking Next Choice should be evaluated for ectopic pregnancy. Next Choice is not effective in terminating an existing pregnancy, and does not protect against STI/HIV. Next Choice may alter the next expected menses, however, if menses is delayed beyond 1 week, pregnancy should be considered. The most common adverse reactions in the clinical trial were menstrual changes (26%), nausea (23%), abdominal pain (18%), fatigue (17%), headache (17%), dizziness (11%), and breast tenderness (11%).
